1. Scope and Our Position on Copyright

Grace Unworthy Ministries, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our services to do the same. This document applies to the properties listed in our Covered Properties notice, which is incorporated by reference.

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 (the "DMCA"). This policy explains how to send us a takedown notice, how to send a counter-notice if your material was removed in error, and what happens to accounts that repeatedly infringe.

Before you send a notice

Consider whether the use you are reporting may be authorized by law — for example as fair use, or under a license you or a prior rights holder granted. Quotation of Scripture, brief excerpts used for commentary or criticism, and material you previously licensed may not be infringing. If the issue is not copyright — for example harassment, impersonation, or a trademark concern — use the reporting paths in our The Story Haven Community Guidelines or write to [email protected] instead.

2. Designated Copyright Agent

We have designated the following agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement. Notices sent to any other address may be delayed or may not be treated as effective notice under the DMCA.

DMCA Designated Agent

Agent: Jeremy DeYoung
Organization: Grace Unworthy Ministries, LLC
Email: [email protected]
Mailing Address:
5753 Highway 85 N PMB 3496
Crestview, FL 32536
USA

Email is the fastest and preferred method. Please put "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notice" in the subject line so your message is routed correctly.

3. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written notification must be sent to the designated agent above and must include substantially all of the following:

  • Signature. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. Typing your full legal name in an email is an acceptable electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or — if multiple works at a single site are covered by one notification — a representative list of those works.
  • Identification of the infringing material. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it — for us, that means the full URL or URLs, and where applicable the post, comment, message, course, or file identifier.
  • Your contact information. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • Good-faith statement. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • Accuracy and authority statement. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

An incomplete notice may not trigger our obligations under the DMCA. If your notice is missing required elements, we will generally tell you what is missing so you can resubmit.

4. What We Do When We Receive a Valid Notice

  • We review the notice for the required elements and, where it is substantially complete, we expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified material.
  • We take reasonable steps to notify the user who posted the material that it has been removed or disabled, and we provide that user with a copy of the notice.
  • We record the notice, the material affected, and the action taken in our internal records.
  • If we receive a valid counter-notice, we forward it to you as described in Section 5 and may restore the material in accordance with the DMCA.

Your notice may be forwarded in full

The DMCA requires us to provide the affected user with a copy of any counter-notice, and it is our practice to provide the affected user with the substance of the original takedown notice, which may include your name and contact information. We may also publish or share notices with third parties that catalog takedown requests, with identifying details handled according to our privacy practices. Do not include information in your notice that you are unwilling to have shared with the person who posted the material.

5. Counter-Notice Procedure

If your material was removed or disabled and you believe the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our designated agent. To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it must include substantially all of the following:

  • Signature. Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the removed material. Identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • Statement under penalty of perjury. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
  • Contact information. Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • Consent to jurisdiction. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located — or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of that person.

What happens after a counter-notice

We forward your counter-notice, including your contact information, to the person who submitted the original takedown notice. Under the DMCA, we may restore the removed material in not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice, unless the original complainant first notifies us that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material. Restoration is subject to our own policies — even where copyright is resolved, we may keep content down if it violates our Terms of Service or our The Story Haven Community Guidelines.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We may also terminate an account at any time for a single instance of egregious or willful infringement, and we may remove infringing material without terminating the account.

How this policy is actually administered

We want to describe this accurately rather than imply automation we do not have. We do not operate an automated strike counter or an in-product copyright dashboard. Copyright complaints are received by email at our designated agent address and are handled manually. We keep an internal record of valid notices, the material affected, the account responsible, and the action taken, and we consult that record when a further notice concerns the same account.

When we assess whether an account is a repeat infringer, we consider the number of valid notices attributable to it, whether any were withdrawn or successfully countered, the seriousness and volume of the material, whether the conduct continued after a warning, and whether the account appears to exist primarily to redistribute others' work. Escalation is typically warning, then removal and restriction of posting or upload ability, then suspension, then termination — but we may move directly to termination where the circumstances warrant it.

A notice that is withdrawn, or that is successfully answered by a counter-notice without the complainant filing suit, is not counted against an account. Terminated accounts lose access to content and purchases associated with them, as described in our Terms of Service. Attempting to evade a termination by creating a new account is itself a violation of our terms.

7. Misrepresentation and Bad-Faith Notices

Material misrepresentations carry legal liability

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages — including costs and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer, by any copyright owner or authorized licensee, or by us as the service provider.

Both takedown notices and counter-notices include statements made under penalty of perjury. Do not submit either unless you are the rights holder or authorized to act for one, you have considered whether the use is authorized by law, and the information you are providing is accurate. If you are unsure, consult an attorney before filing.

We may decline to act on, and may disregard, notices that are incomplete after we have asked for the missing elements, that are submitted abusively or in volume to suppress lawful content, or that plainly concern something other than copyright.

8. Our Own Content

The content we publish — including course materials, written articles, podcast and video recordings, artwork, and software — is owned by Grace Unworthy Ministries, LLC or used under license, and is protected by copyright and other laws. Your permitted uses of that content are described in our Terms of Service. Redistributing paid course material, sharing account access, or republishing our work without permission is not permitted.

Requests to reuse, quote at length, translate, or license our material are welcome — email [email protected] and describe the intended use.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in applicable law. Material changes are reflected in the Last Updated date shown at the top of this page. Changes to the designated agent will be reflected here and in our filing with the U.S. Copyright Office.
