1. Scope and Precedence

Grace Unworthy Ministries, LLC ("we," "our," or "us") sells courses, subscriptions, digital products, and — where offered — physical goods through our web properties, applications, and services. This document applies to the properties listed in our Covered Properties notice, which is incorporated by reference.

This policy is the controlling statement of our refund, cancellation, and auto-renewal practices. Our Terms of Service summarizes these rules; where that summary and this policy differ in detail, the detail in this policy governs. Where a specific offer, promotion, bundle, cohort, or event page states its own refund terms at the point of purchase, those terms govern that purchase. Refunds for Storyteller Offers purchased through Story Haven Gateway are the Storyteller's responsibility as merchant of record under the Storyteller Agreement; this policy applies to purchases where Grace Unworthy is the seller. Refunds for Storyteller-sold items purchased under the Storyteller Purchase & Release Terms may be authorized only by the Storyteller. Grace Unworthy has no refund obligation for those items and no authority to compel one.

The short version

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding the current period. One-time course purchases may be refundable within 30 days if you have consumed little of the content. Digital downloads may be refundable within 14 days if not substantially consumed. Refunds outside these windows are at our discretion. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank.

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. Where such law gives you a stronger right — for example, a statutory cooling-off period — that right applies regardless of the windows described below.

Sales tax. Displayed prices are the amounts we charge at checkout. We do not currently calculate or collect sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar transaction taxes at checkout. If tax later becomes required, we will disclose it before you pay. You remain responsible for any tax obligations that apply to you. Storyteller Offers processed through Gateway, once launched, are taxed by the Storyteller as merchant of record.

2. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period — monthly, annually, or on whatever interval you selected — until you cancel. Each renewal is charged to the payment method on file at the then-current price for your plan. By starting a subscription, you authorize these recurring charges.

2.1 How to cancel

You can cancel a subscription in either of the following ways:

  • In your account settings — open the billing or subscription section of your account and cancel the plan
  • By email — write to [email protected] from the email address on the account, telling us which subscription you want cancelled

Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge. A cancellation takes effect for future billing periods only. If you cancel after a renewal has already been charged, that charge stands unless we grant a discretionary refund under Section 2.3. When you cancel by email, we treat the timestamp of your email as the cancellation time, so send it before the renewal date rather than after.

2.2 Access after cancellation

When you cancel, your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, and then ends. We do not immediately revoke access at the moment you cancel, and we do not restart or extend the period. Content, progress, and community access tied to the subscription end when the paid period ends.

2.3 Refunds for unused portions of a period

We generally do not refund the unused portion of a subscription period, and we do not prorate mid-period cancellations. Because you retain access for the remainder of the period you paid for, we treat that period as delivered.

We will, however, consider a discretionary refund of a recent renewal charge — typically one requested within a few days of the charge, where you have not meaningfully used the service during that period. Circumstances we weigh include an unnoticed renewal you promptly flagged, a duplicate charge, a billing error on our side, or a documented inability to access what you paid for. Email [email protected] and explain the situation.

2.4 Price changes

If we change the price of a subscription plan, we will give you notice before the change applies to your renewals. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before the next renewal date. A renewal charged after we gave you notice of a price change is not refundable solely because the price changed.

3. Failed Payments, Retries, and Suspension

If a scheduled payment fails — for example because a card expired, was declined, or had insufficient funds — we may attempt to charge the payment method again over a period of days as part of our normal dunning process. We may also email you to ask you to update your payment method.

  • Retries: we may retry a failed charge several times before treating the payment as permanently failed
  • Suspension: access to subscription content may be suspended while a payment is unresolved, and may be restored once a payment succeeds
  • Cancellation for non-payment: if payment cannot be collected after our retry sequence, the subscription may be cancelled and access ended
  • Amounts already owed: a failed payment does not waive amounts owed for periods during which you had access

Keeping your payment method current is the most reliable way to avoid an interruption. If a payment failure caused you to lose access to a time-sensitive cohort or event, contact [email protected] and we will try to help.

4. One-Time Course Purchases

For courses purchased with a single, non-recurring payment, we will typically honor a refund request that meets both of the following conditions:

  • Timing: you request the refund within thirty (30) days of the purchase date
  • Consumption: you have accessed less than approximately 25% of the course content, as measured by our progress records — lessons, sections, and steps marked viewed or completed

Requests that meet both conditions are approved as a matter of normal practice. Requests outside these thresholds are considered case-by-case and granted at our discretion; we weigh how much content was accessed, whether downloadable materials or certificates were obtained, whether the course was purchased as part of a bundle or promotion, and whether you experienced a genuine technical or access problem we could not resolve.

Cohorts, live programs, and events

Courses delivered as live cohorts, coaching programs, workshops, or ticketed events may have their own refund and transfer deadlines tied to the start date, because we commit resources and seats in advance. Those terms are disclosed at the point of purchase and control for that purchase.

When a course refund is granted, your enrollment and access to that course end, along with any progress, achievements, or certificate associated with it.

5. Digital Products and Downloads

For digital products that are not courses — such as ebooks, study guides, printables, audio files, templates, or other downloadable materials — we will typically consider a refund requested within fourteen (14) days of purchase, provided the product has not been substantially consumed.

  • A file that has not been downloaded, or was downloaded but not substantially used, is generally refundable within that window at our discretion
  • Downloading the full product and retaining it weighs against a refund, because digital goods cannot be returned once delivered
  • Where you experienced a genuine delivery, corruption, or compatibility problem, tell us and we will first try to fix it; if we cannot, we will refund

Refunds for digital products are discretionary rather than automatic. If you are unsure whether a product suits your needs, review the description and any preview material before purchasing, or ask us first at [email protected].

6. Physical Goods

We do not offer physical merchandise on a continuous basis. Where physical goods are offered — for example a printed book, a limited product run, or an event item — the return window, condition requirements, and who pays return shipping are stated on the product or checkout page for that item, and those terms control.

Absent a stated policy for a specific item, our general approach to physical goods is:

  • Contact [email protected] within thirty (30) days of delivery to request a return authorization before sending anything back
  • Items should be unused and in original condition and packaging, except where the item arrived damaged or defective
  • Items damaged in transit or defective on arrival are replaced or refunded at our cost — send photos with your request
  • Return shipping for a change-of-mind return is your responsibility; original shipping charges are generally not refunded
  • Personalized, custom, or perishable items may not be returnable
  • Refunds are issued after we receive and inspect the returned item

7. Store Credits

In some situations we may offer store credit instead of, or in addition to, a refund to the original payment method — for example where you prefer credit, where the original payment method can no longer be refunded, or as a goodwill resolution.

  • Store credit is issued to your account and can be applied to future purchases on the property where it was issued
  • Store credit has no cash value and is not redeemable for cash, and is not transferable to another person or account
  • Credit that carries an expiration date will have that date disclosed when it is issued
  • Credits, points, and promotional balances are forfeited if your account is deleted or terminated for a policy violation
  • Accepting store credit as a resolution settles the underlying refund request for that purchase

8. How to Request a Refund

Email [email protected] with "Refund Request" in the subject line and include:

  • The email address used for the order, ideally sending from that address
  • The order number or receipt, or the approximate purchase date and amount
  • The specific item, course, or subscription the request concerns
  • The reason for the request — this genuinely matters for discretionary decisions, and it helps us fix problems
  • Any relevant detail, such as an error message, a screenshot, or photos for a damaged physical item

What happens next. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within a few business days and to decide promptly after that. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor. Once we issue a refund, the time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer and is typically several business days. Refunds are issued in the original currency of the purchase; we are not responsible for currency conversion differences or fees charged by your bank.

If the item was sold by a Storyteller, send the refund request to the Storyteller. Grace Unworthy cannot issue or compel that refund. See the Storyteller Purchase & Release Terms.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact us before filing a dispute

If something is wrong with a charge, email [email protected] before opening a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer. We can almost always resolve billing problems faster and more completely than a dispute process can, and a direct request is not limited to the outcomes a card network will consider.

A chargeback filed without contacting us first is treated as a disputed transaction rather than a refund request. When a chargeback is filed, we may suspend access to the associated content or account while the dispute is pending, and we will respond to the card network with our records — including purchase, access, and progress logs, and our correspondence with you. Where a dispute is resolved in our favor and access was suspended, we will restore access on request.

We may decline to sell to accounts with a pattern of chargebacks. As described in our Privacy Policy, purchase and dispute records are retained for accounting, audit, and dispute-defense purposes even after an account is deleted.

10. Fraud, Abuse, and Terminated Accounts

Refunds are intended for customers acting in good faith. We may decline a refund, and may terminate access without refund, where we identify fraud, payment abuse, unauthorized sharing or redistribution of paid content, repeated purchase-and-refund cycling, or a material breach of our Terms of Service. If we terminate an account for a policy violation, any remaining subscription time, store credit, or points are forfeited.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our products and payment systems change. Material changes are reflected in the Last Updated date at the top of this page. The version of this policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.

12. Contact

Refund requests, cancellation help, and billing questions all go to our support team. For how we handle the personal information in your billing records, see our Privacy Policy; for the broader agreement governing purchases, see our Terms of Service.
